Back from dinner and a game with my sister and parents.

So, to continue our narrative, which we started in medias res:

Last night Brittney brought over my Xmas present--she insisted that it go under my tree. How cute!

She also brought Kate, which was cool. We went to Kate's apartment (near my house, cooly enough), walked her dog, and met her mom, then grabbed Cool Hand Luke from Blockbuster and came back to my house to watch it. Brittney and I shared a blanket. . . and Kate avoided us with her eyes awkwardly.

Then Brittney and Kate shared a blanket, and Kate hid in the corner of the couch awkwardly. Then Brittney and Kate and I shared a blanket, and Kate was just scared.

Good film.

You see, we were hiding from the Homeowner's Association party my dad hosted.

Scott (ca. 35): Who're you?
Brittney: I'm Brittney. I'm (point) dating him.
Cooper: Hi.
Scott: Ah, you're the man of the hour. And who're you?
Kate: I'm Kate.
Scott: And who're you dating?
Kate: No-one. . .

This morning, I jammed with Mike. He brought a conch. Awesome. We did a blues version of the plastic Jesus song from Cool Hand Luke.

Then Calculus. Yay. Got 88% on the AP section. Chuong got 100%. Damn him.

Then Creative Writing--watched Princess Mononoke. Weird anime crap. Very sexual. Very funny.

Then lunch with Brittney. Played tunes on my laptop, to which we danced. We always end up dancing. Not crap hug-dancing, either, but high-class dancing. Hand in hand, hand on waist dancing.

I love Brittney.

Then Physics. Blech. Got a 98 on the final. Not too bad, but I may still get a B for the semester.

Then Pat's house, where I played with magnets and helped her with some email.

*feels groovy--except for the overeating-of-shellfish-at-Olive-Garden part*

Well

I'm feelin' good.

Michigan State called me a few minutes ago with the biggest scholarship they offer: full everything, plus they pay me $1000 a year. And up to $6000 of whatever outside scholarships I get.

So yay!

And right now, my sister and I are being very cute: we're both working on the same table on our new laptops. We're bonding through computers. Too bad we have dialup, so we actually have to talk instead of IMing each other.

Well, out for celebratory dinner. Will update remainder of day upon return.

My, my, my. . .

I wore my Air Force shirt today. It's just about a size too small, so it shows off my figure in a very nice way. I like it muchly.

So I see my Physics classmate, Mark, who formerly went to a school with Air Force ROTC. He says, 'Good day, Sergeant.' I think he's addressing James Sargent, but then as James is nowhere to be found, nor is his little brother Jon(Brittney's freshman), I figure out he's talking to me. He unbuttons my shirt, pulls some AFROTC medals out of his pocket, and puts them on my shirt. Funkay.

So I was Staff Sergeant Gallegos all day. Yay!

I think maybe he intends me to keep his insignia. I'll have to clear it up with him tomorrow during the Physics final.

Finals today: Dance and Biology. Dance was. . . Dance. Lots of freshman angst, lots of fun movement, designed some cool choreo. Jenny gave me for Xmas: an MC Hammer-style metallic plaid jacket, a crazy diagonal-check yellow shirt with green collar, and a weird blousy thing.

Biology was pretty easy, just standard stuff. Parts of the cell, &c.

Tomorrow's finals: Calculus and Physics.

Cooper: Will you go out with me and buy me an iPod for my birthday?
EJ: How good are you in bed?
Cooper: pretty good
Cooper: I suck dick very well
EJ: "pretty good?" "very well?" no, I'm afraid this is all too little, too late.
Cooper: damn
EJ: should of thought of this back when you holding onto your knickers like a fucking life jacket.

Well--

This is the first post on my new laptop. *smile*

I really like this motherfucker. Really and truly.

It's great, because when you take it to school, you annoy teachers while increasing your productivity. It really drives everyone nuts.

So, let's see--what happened yesterday and today?

Yesterday, I took my English and Creative Writing exams. They were pretty easy. The rest of the day was devoted to chillin'. Then I helped Brittney study. Heh heh. That's always fun.

I also found out that Elaine Ayo and Erika Noriega both were accepted to the University of Chicago. They both really want to go there, and they both are excellent women. That would be fun, going to school with them.

Today, I had Calculus Part II, Latin, and Creative Writing again. Then I hung out after school with Brittney, discussing the possession of freshmen. I told Roger to smoke a lot of pot and take hormones, so he can have breasts and thereby meet or exceed Sunil's freshman in every aspect.

Right now, I'm listening to Bobby McFerrin's uber-genius CD, Beyond Words. I am also thinking what a fucktard Trent Lott is and wondering why it is that in the past few months Republicans have been so blatantly displaying every aspect of that which their PR machine says they are not:
1. Racism. Trent Lott, et al.
2. Big business. Cheney as veep, et al.
3. Establishment. Kissinger.
4. Cover-uppers. Poindexter, the guy who engineered Iran-Contra. Kissinger Associates, Inc.

*sigh*

I think I'm either going to have to get involved in politics or skip the country.

Anyhoo, back to ripping my CDs onto this computer.

Well, I haven't really got any time for this post, because it's finals week and I have a paper to plan and a book report to write tonight.

Yay.

So the immediate reason I'm posting:

I was accepted to the University of Chicago for next fall.

I'll find out about aid/scholarships within a few weeks--just in time for Christmas, hopefully.

Other events of the day/weekend:

Choir concert went extraordinarily well. I was surprised. Never sounded that good in rehearsal. Also, it was phenomenal in that my parents and Brittney went, and I had to warm up while they ate dinner (it was a dinner concert). They really like that lady. I wonder why. . .?

Afterward, we all ate ice cream and decorated the Christmas tree.

Today, I took the remainder of my statistics exam, saw Brittney (yay!), took the first half of my Calculus exam (yay!), chilled in Latin (Sunil boxed my ears pretty well), ate crazy-good pastry that Christian made, finished The Royal Tenenbaums (yay!), slept/taught calculus through Physics, fought Adam Roukema for possession of the freshman Roger, helped Brittney with calculus after school (yay!), saw Mr. Wick at TCs (yay!), then came home to find I'd gotten into Chicago.

Not a bad day, not a bad day at all.

Except I was sick for most of it, extremely emotional once or twice, and tired throughout.

Ah well. On to homework!

Just got home from Sarah's (Ben's chica's) 16th birthday party.

That was fun. Except it was at her grandmother's house, which is just north of Alamo Heights on Nacogdoches. Don't get me wrong; nice house. Very nice house. But impossible to find at night.

I turned in next door (in full view of the party), got stuck in that driveway, couldn't back out (scratched my car on a tree), and had to fight hell-traffic on Nacogdoches.

But the party was awesome. There were DJs in the garage; Brittney and I danced the night away. Then I was doing donkey kicks in a techno song and kicked the discoball down. It shattered. Good form, eh?

I took Brittney home. I love that girl.

Last night was Saturnalia. Very fun. Mike's parents and little brother came, which was tres hardcore. I like Mike's family.

Then Brittney and Sunil and I went to Sunil's house to watch Harry Potter, which just ended up in Sunil playing video games and Brittney and I making out. I dropped Brittney at home (well, at school, because her car was there), then went back to Sunil's.

I spent the night, but I didn't sleep--played GTA III, Unreal Tournament, and Battleground 1942 all night. My thumb muscles are very sore from all of that.

I'm going to bed now, because I have to be up at 7.00 tomorrow morning, er, this morning.
